Retail Supervisor

Bennington State Bank (BSB) is seeking a full time CSR/Teller with Supervisory duties.

PURPOSE:   The Retail Supervisor delivers exceptional customer experience, builds relationships, and assists consumer and small business customers succeed financially. The Retail Supervisor engages with customers in conversation to understand how BSB can provide products, services and digital options that align with their business banking needs, while overseeing other deposit functions and Teller staff of the branch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Maintains a cash drawer, cash handling, and balancing.
  • Train, develop and coach other Teller/CSR staff.
  • Oversee the deposit functions and Teller staff of the branch.
  •  Assists customers with opening new accounts, completing service requests.
  • Submits credit applications.
  • Educates customers on a variety of Retail products and digital solutions to enhance the customer experience.
  • Build relationships with customers through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Ensures financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes relationships with internal departments and refer customers to bank specialists when complex financial needs are identified.
  • Interacts with customers both in person and through proactive phone calls to ensure we are meeting their financial needs.
  • Ability to cross sell bank products and business lines such as Treasury Management and Wealth Management.

PREFERRED APPLICANTS WILL HAVE:

  • One or more years of experience in a sales position, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Experience working in an environment with individual and team goals.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly connect with customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Great communication skills – verbally, in writing, and how you personally represent yourself.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Effective organizational skills. 

EDUCATION

High school graduate or equivalent is required.  College degree in a related field is desirable.
