Portfolio Manager, Salina

The Bennington State Bank is seeking a candidate for a Portfolio Manager/Loan Assistant Trainee position. Candidate will join a high energy, fast paced team centered environment, where teamwork and attention to detail are highly valued.

This position assists with compiling and maintaining the commercial and ag loan files to ensure they comply with BSB Policy and contain all necessary and proper documentation. Primary duties include onboarding new commercial customers in coordination with commercial lenders and maintaining and growing the relationship with current customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess corporate structure to determine other forms of documentation needed. Request all necessary information from customers such as tax return, updated financial statement.
• Assist customers with general loan related
• Work closely with Treasury Product team to open personal and corporate/business accounts.
• Process documents received for each file, verifying the accuracy and completeness of each document.
• Complete and submit the loan request to the processing team for final closing documents.
• Provide disclosures when Order credit reports, business entity searches and GEO codes/census tracking and title work or any documents needed for loan processing.
• Order and review appraisals. Order and review environmental reports.
• Tracks documents including hazard insurance, flood insurance, vehicle titles, UCC filings, financial statements, and title Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, records.
• Coordinate loan closings and handle customer loan signings when necessary.
• Process requests on lines of credit and on real estate construction loan Prepares loan renewal and extension requests.  Process loan cancellations/denials and adverse action letters.
• Remain current on government regulations related to lending and internal
• Assist in other tasks and projects as assigned.
• Position must regard all customer, client and employees records as strictly confidential and obtain, use, or share such information only as authorized and necessary.

• Proficient with Word, Excel, and LaserPro experience a plus.
