Bennington State Bank (BSB) is seeking a Trust Operations Associate at our Salina location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Trust Operations Associate will be responsible for providing operational support to the Trust and Wealth Management department.  This includes, but is not limited to, providing essential trust reporting, performing more complicated trust operational processing, support and maintenance of new and current accounts and providing system and process expertise to develop efficient and risk-appropriate procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

  •  Daily oversight and reconciliation of all assets held in accounts.
  • Process, post and execute all account trading while ensuring quality control to reduce risk to the organization.
  • Review and process all incoming and outgoing account transfers.
  • Participates in the settlement of clients’ security trades to ensure the accurate and timely settlement of transactions; researches and resolves any variance issues
  • Deposits and withdraws assets from the vault using the dual control system; conducts annual vault reviews
  • Prepare, maintain, and review tickler system to ensure matters concerning all trust actions receive prompt attention.
  • Manages vendor relationship with Trust Service Providers.
  • Coordinates department and office projects, as directed by supervisor, in order to ensure the project is maintained and supported to meet the timeframes and needs of the project.
  • Follow all other instructions and perform any other job- related duties.
  • Utilize risk management tools, such as the overdraft report, daily transaction report, and Administrative review to ensure that all exceptions are properly addressed and kept to a minimum

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Ability to work in a professional, high net worth environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to succeed in an environment with tight deadlines
  • Associates degree in Administration preferred
  • 2+ years of recent, applicable trust operations experience preferred

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational experience required
  • College degree preferred

HOURS

Full time hours. Branch hours Monday-Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM.
