This position is responsible for generating loan documentation for loan requests to ensure the loan pipeline is advancing promptly. The loan processor prepares, investigates, coordinates, and administers the necessary activities to support a complete and comprehensive loan file. BSB employees promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prepares loan and security documentation for new and renewed loans, renewals, amendments letters of credit in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with bank policy, procedure, and Federal Regulations.
  • Continuously monitor, update, and organize new loan files to ensure consistency, neatness, and completeness.
  • Review loan files to ensure there are no exceptions.
  • Requests documents such as credit reports, flood certifications, title policies, insurance, and UCC searches.
  • Prepares closing documents such as appraisals, title review/research, and other paperwork required by lenders or the government.
  • Ensure loans are booked promptly on the loan system, notifying management of any delays as they are discovered.
  • Handles customer requests including changes to loan customer information, disputes, credit reporting, loan coding, product and collateral data, payment posting corrections, verifying system calculations, loan amortizations, and waiving fees or interest.
  • Responsible for follow-up communication on maintenance requests and informing the supervisor daily of unresolved requests.
  • Prepare payoff requests from internal and external sources and complete various verification requests.
  • Handle incoming/outgoing telephone inquiries concerning loan information.
  • Stay current in knowledge of software, bank products, rates, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform any other job-related duties.

COMPLIANCE

Comply with, and take all reasonable measures to ensure the Bank’s compliance with all applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Regulation and OFAC verifications.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • Experience with commercial and/or mortgage loan software programs.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Time management and organization skills; ability to work with strict deadlines; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, 10 key, fax machine, multiple line telephones, and typing skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

HOURS

Full time hours. Branch hours Monday-Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM
